Working Visit of the Hero-Arkadag to the Republic of Tajikistan
The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, at the invitation of the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, paid a working visit to the Republic of Tajikistan.
At the International Airport of the capital, the Hero-Arkadag was seen off by officials.
There, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty talked with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan to Turkmenistan.
...After making a flight to Dushanbe, the airliner of the Hero-Arkadag landed at the International Airport of the capital of Tajikistan, where the State Flags of the countries of Central Asia and the Republic of Azerbaijan had been raised on flagpoles, and a guard of honour had been lined up.
At the air harbour, the National Leader of the Turkmen people was met by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan Kokhir Rasulzoda and other officials.
At the Dushanbe International Airport, a brief conversation took place between the National Leader of the Turkmen people and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan Kokhir Rasulzoda, during which issues of the interstate cooperation, including the development of inter-parliamentary relations, were discussed.
Thanking for the warm conversation, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov went from the Dushanbe air harbour to the residence allocated to him for the duration of the visit.
...In the afternoon, the motorcade of the Hero-Arkadag arrived at the Qasri Millat Palace.
At the main entrance, the Chairman of the Majlisi Milli Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan, Mayor of the city of Dushanbe Rustam Emomali cordially greeted the distinguished guest.
In the foyer of the Palace, the Hero-Arkadag was cordially and brotherly greeted by President Emomali Rahmon. After exchanging friendly handshakes, the National Leader of the Turkmen people and the Head of Tajikistan were photographed against the background of the State Flags of the countries participating in the Consultative Meeting.
Then Arkadag, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan and the heads of state proceeded to the venue of the solemn ceremony of awarding the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov with the Badge of Honour of the Heads of State of Central Asia.
Addressing the distinguished guests, members of delegations and all those present, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan thanked them for their participation in that day’s event and for their constructive and business-like attitude, which ensured the success and high productivity of the Meeting.
The Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia concluded and the results of the negotiations once again confirmed the progressive process of the development of regional cooperation on the basis of the historically established good neighbourly relations. Our countries once again demonstrated their readiness for open and broad interaction in the interests of ensuring peace, stability and security in Central Asia.
Speaking about this, President Emomali Rahmon expressed sincere gratitude to his counterparts – the heads of state of Central Asia, and the guests of honour – the President of Azerbaijan and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, for their support and contribution to the successful holding of the Dushanbe Meeting.
As the Tajik leader further noted, it was a great honour for him to announce the joint decision of the heads of state of Central Asia to award the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov with the Badge of Honour of the Heads of State of Central Asia. He was awarded this Badge for his outstanding contribution to strengthening relations of friendship and good neighbourliness among the Central Asian states, for deepening cooperation among the countries of the region in the political, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres and promoting the common interests and initiatives of the Central Asian countries in the international community and for many years of personal efforts aimed at creative and progressive development.
This is a truly well-deserved award, the Head of Tajikistan stressed. Many years of productive activity as head of state brought Gurbanguly Myalikguliyevich Berdimuhamedov universal respect and well-deserved authority in fraternal Turkmenistan and far beyond its borders.
The National Leader of the Turkmen people has made and continues to make a huge contribution to strengthening relations of fraternal friendship among the Central Asian countries, including strengthening security and stability in the region and resolutely and confidently defending the sovereignty and independence of fraternal Turkmenistan for many years.
Thanks to the purposeful and consistent activity of the Hero-Arkadag, the authority of Turkmenistan on the international arena is further increasing.
The enormous contribution of Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to ensuring the socioeconomic development of Turkmenistan and the wellbeing of the Turkmen people and his inherent qualities of openness, sincerity and goodwill were especially highlighted. At the same time, President Emomali Rahmon focused on the modern and flourishing look of Ashgabat, which had become a visiting card of the country and a striking example of the large-scale achievements of the people of Turkmenistan.
Upon expressing sincere congratulations to the Hero-Arkadag on behalf of the heads of state and the Tajik people and on his own behalf on the award with the Badge of Honour, the President of Tajikistan wished strong health, happiness, prosperity and new achievements to him and even greater prosperity to the fraternal people of Turkmenistan.
To the applause of those present, in a solemn atmosphere, President Emomali Rahmon presented the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov with the Badge of Honour of the Heads of State of Central Asia.
Addressing the leaders of the friendly countries, the Hero-Arkadag greeted everyone in the fraternal Tajik land and expressed sincere gratitude for presenting him with the high award within the framework of international events taking place in the capital of Tajikistan.
Taking this opportunity, the National Leader of the Turkmen people invited, on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, all those present to take part in the celebrations planned in 2024 on the occasion of the birth anniversary of the Turkmen thinker and poet Magtymguly Pyragy to be held at the highest international level.
Addressing the head of the friendly state Emomali Rahmon, Arkadag noted that the Tajik people had recently celebrated a big holiday – Independence Day, emphasising that every time he came to beautiful Tajikistan and to its capital – Dushanbe, which grew prettier and flourished from year to year, seeing happy people’s faces, he always rejoiced at the success and achievements of the country.
Once again thanking for the honorary award and emphasising that for him that also meant increased responsibility, the National Leader of the Turkmen people assured that, for his part, he would continue to fully contribute to strengthening the friendly and good-neighbourly ties connecting our countries.
Summing up his speech, the Hero-Arkadag addressed the heads of state participating in the Consultative Meeting with wishes of strong health, family wellbeing and every success in their activity.
In the evening, an official dinner was given, after which Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov proceeded to the Dushanbe International Airport, from where he departed for the Motherland.
