On November 3, 2025, the grand opening of Turkmen Literature and Creativity Week in the Republic of Türkiye took place at the Turkish Writers' Association building in Istanbul.

The event was organized by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Türkiye in conjunction with the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY).

The event was attended by representatives of Turkish government and public circles, renowned scientists and writers, cultural and artistic figures, as well as media representatives.

As part of the opening of the week, a presentation was held of the collection of poems “Women and Words in the Turkic World,” published on the occasion of the 85th anniversary of the Hero of Turkmenistan, People's Writer of Turkmenistan, and winner of the Magtymguly International Prize, Amangozel Shagulyeva.

Amangozel Shagulyeva's work occupies a special place in the history of modern Turkmen literature. Her poetry is distinguished by its depth of thought, high artistic taste, and sincere love for her homeland, her people, and women as the guardians of spiritual values.

The Secretary General of TURKSOY, Sultan Raev, and the Hero of Turkmenistan, People's Artist of Turkmenistan, Saragt Babaev, addressed the participants with welcoming speeches.

The speakers at the meeting emphasized that the Turkmen Literature and Creativity Week in Türkiye is a vivid testimony to the strengthening of humanitarian ties between the brotherly countries and contributes to the further development of cultural dialogue within the Turkic world.

On the same day, a photo exhibition dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality and the proclamation of 2025 as the “International Year of Peace and Trust” opened at the Consulate General of Turkmenistan in Istanbul.

The grand opening of the exhibition was attended by well-known cultural figures, representatives of Turkish socio-political organizations, the media, and students.

As part of Turkmen Literature and Creativity Week, various cultural events, exhibitions, creative meetings, and poetry evenings will be held in Ankara and Istanbul, aimed at promoting Turkmen literature, art, and cultural heritage.
