On November 4, 2025, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Ahmet Gurbanov met with Chargé d'Affaires of Afghanistan in Turkmenistan Fazal Muhammad Sabir.

During the meeting, the Deputy Minister expressed his condolences and support to the Afghan diplomat in connection with the devastating earthquake in northern Afghanistan, which resulted in human casualties and injuries.

A.Gurbanov noted that Turkmenistan received this news with deep sorrow and announced the country's readiness to provide humanitarian assistance to the people of brotherly Afghanistan in the near future.

As is well known, Turkmenistan continues the time-honored traditions of the Turkmen people to provide support in difficult times as the basis for strengthening friendly relations and good neighborliness between states.

 Proof of this is the systematic humanitarian aid provided by the Charitable Foundation for Children in Need of Guardianship named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to children and the population of countries affected by natural disasters, including Afghanistan.
