On September 9, 2025, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Kyrgyz Republic organized a round table in Bishkek dedicated to the proclamation of 2025 as the "International Year of Peace and Trust", as well as the next meeting of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan.

Turkmen students studying in Bishkek, as well as citizens of Turkmenistan attended the event.

During the discussion, the foreign policy strategy of Turkmenistan was presented in detail, which since gaining Independence has been consistently implemented on the basis of the principles of peacefulness, good neighborliness, equality and mutual respect. It was also emphasized that this policy, carried out under the leadership of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and continuing the creative work of the Hero Arkadag, is based on the legal status of the permanent Neutrality of the country, three times recognized by the world community and having the character of positive Neutrality.

Particular attention was paid to the state visits of the President of Turkmenistan and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, who make a significant contribution to strengthening trust and forming a constructive partnership in the international arena.

Participants emphasized that the proclamation of 2025 as the "International Year of Peace and Trust" symbolizes the recognition of the special mission of Turkmenistan as a state that, with its positive Neutrality and consistent peacekeeping course, contributes to strengthening mutual understanding and sustainable development on a global scale.

At the end of the event, a video about Turkmenistan was shown, allowing the participants to visually familiarize themselves with the country's achievements in various fields and its significant contribution to strengthening international peace and stability.
