A briefing dedicated to the International Year of Peace and Trust and the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality was held in Seoul

On February 20, 2024, a briefing was held at the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Korea dedicated to the announcement of 2025 as the "International Year of Peace and Trust" and the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality.

The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea, the Secretariat of the Central Asia - Republic of Korea Cooperation Forum, heads of diplomatic missions of Central Asian countries accredited in the country, scientists, political experts, representatives of cultural associations, and the media.

In his speech, Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Korea B.Durdyev focused on the high-level events that will be held this year in honor of the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality. Turkmenistan's initiatives at the global level within the framework of the "International Year of Peace and Trust", as well as the Concept of priority areas and events during this year were presented.

It was emphasized that the fact that the events at the international and state levels are held in 2025, which marks the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality, the 80th anniversary of the formation of the United Nations and the 33rd anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Korea, gives special symbolism to them.

A presentation of the new book by the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov "Magtymguly – the Sage of the World" and the work of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov "Hakyda göwheri" was also held.

An exhibition of works by Hero Arkadag and the Esteemed President, as well as samples of traditional Turkmen clothing, works of decorative and applied art were organized as part of the event.

At the end of the meeting, guests were offered national dishes of Turkmen cuisine.
