
The President of Turkmenistan Conducts a Working Meeting via the Digital System
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov conducted via the digital system a working meeting with the participation of the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atahalliyev, who supervises the agroindustrial complex, and the hyakims of the velayats, at which issues of the development of the agricultural complex and the progress of seasonal work in the regions of the country were discussed.
The first floor was given to the Ahal Velayat Hyakim R. Hojaguliyev, who reported on the state of affairs in the region.
As it was noted, wheat sowing continued in an organised manner in the fields of the velayat, and agricultural machinery was being effectively used. In the sown areas, vegetation irrigation is being carried out, and even shoots have appeared.
Measures are also being taken to increase the pace of cotton harvesting without losses and in a short time. In particular, defoliation is being carried out for efficient operation of combine harvesters. Payments to cotton growers for the delivered harvest are being made in a timely manner.
In connection with the approaching winter season, proper preparations of the heating systems of schools, kindergartens, rural hospitals and residential buildings are being carried out.
In addition, the Hyakim reported on the progress of construction work at social, cultural and industrial facilities, the commissioning of which was planned in the velayat for the current year.
After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov focused on the importance of the seasonal field campaigns being carried out and addressed the Hyakim with a number of specific instructions related to sowing winter wheat in time, observing agricultural standards for caring for sown areas and increasing the pace of cotton harvesting.
The Head of Turkmenistan ordered to keep under control the quality of construction work at various facilities scheduled for opening this year.
Then the Balkan Velayat Hyakim H. Ashyrmyradov reported on the state of affairs in the fields of the region.
As it was noted, winter wheat was being sown in the fields of the region in accordance with established requirements. The necessary measures are being taken to receive even seedlings, in particular, vegetation irrigation is being carried out. At the same time, agricultural machinery is being used at full capacity.
In the velayat, appropriate work is underway to organise the cotton harvesting campaign at the proper level and to timely pay farmers for the collected raw cotton. In addition, cotton fields are being defoliated.
Along with this, preparations of the heating systems of educational and cultural buildings, public facilities and residential buildings for the winter season are in full swing.
It was reported on the pace of the construction of facilities for various purposes planned for commissioning that year within the framework of the National Rural Programme.
After listening to the report, the President emphasised the critical season in agriculture continued. In this regard, the Hyakim was instructed to keep under strict control the progress of sowing wheat in accordance with the agrotechnical schedule and work on caring for crops, ensuring vegetative irrigation and harvesting cotton without losses.
Along with this, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov gave a number of instructions regarding ensuring the high-quality construction of social, cultural and industrial facilities, scheduled for completion in the current year within the framework of the Programme of the Socioeconomic Development of the Country in 2022–2028 and the National Rural Programme.
The working meeting via the digital system continued with a report of the Dashoguz Velayat Hyakim S. Soltanmyradov on the progress of agricultural campaigns in the region.
It was reported that wheat sowing was being carried out in accordance with agrotechnical standards. In the sown areas, the necessary measures are being taken to obtain even seedlings, and appropriate machinery and equipment are being used effectively.
Work is being done to increase the pace of the cotton harvesting and the efficient operation of combine harvesters and other special equipment. The defoliation of fields is being carried out to gather “white gold” in a short time and without losses using combine harvesters, and timely payments to producers for delivered raw cotton are being performed.
In addition, rice harvesting has started in the velayat, and the harvesting of the grown crop is proceeding in accordance with established requirements.
The heating systems of educational, cultural, administrative and social structures and residential buildings were regularly repaired and fully prepared for the season.
In addition, the situation at the construction sites of the facilities, planned for commissioning in the velayat, as part of the National Rural Programme, was reported on.
After listening to the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted the high-quality implementation of agricultural work was the most important requirement and gave the Hyakim a number of specific instructions to ensure strict control over sowing wheat within agrotechnical terms, picking raw cotton without loss and in the shortest possible time and harvesting rice in an organised manner.
In addition, the Head of Turkmenistan ordered to ensure the high-quality construction of facilities for various purposes in the region, which should be commissioned in the current year.
Then, the Lebap Velayat Hyakim Sh. Amangeldiyev reported on the progress of agricultural work in the region.
As it was noted, the velayat was carrying out coordinated work on the timely sowing of wheat, vegetative irrigation and the use of agricultural machinery and equipment at full capacity for even seedlings to grow.
The harvest season continues in the cotton fields of the region. The necessary measures are being taken to accelerate the pace of harvesting “white gold” in a short time and without losses. In particular, defoliation is being carried out to make the operation of combine harvesters more productive. Timely payments to producers for raw cotton delivered to the state are being made.
Along with this, appropriate measures are being taken for the organised harvesting of rice.
The heating systems of educational and cultural institutions, administrative and public buildings and the residential sector have fully been prepared for the autumn-winter season.
In addition, the Hyakim reported on the progress of construction work at various facilities planned for putting into operation in the velayat that year.
Upon hearing the report, the Head of Turkmenistan stressed an important requirement was high-quality seasonal agricultural work in accordance with agricultural technology standards. In this regard, the President of Turkmenistan ordered to keep under strict control the pace of sowing and care for wheat seedlings, issues of organisational conduct of the cotton harvesting and the proper functioning of the machinery to be involved in harvesting rice and addressed a number of specific instructions to the Hyakim.
Instructions were also given to ensure the high quality of construction work at social, cultural and industrial facilities planned for commissioning in the velayat.
Then the Mary Velayat Hyakim B. Orazov reported on the progress of agricultural work in the region.
It was said that in accordance with established requirements, wheat was being sown in the fields, and the sown areas were being irrigated during the growing season, where even seedlings had already begun to appear. Steps are being taken to ensure the proper operation of agricultural machinery.
The necessary work on the well-organised continuation of the cotton harvesting campaign and the growth in its pace and on the defoliation of fields for harvesting using combine harvesters is being carried out.
In order to fulfil the tasks, set by the President of Turkmenistan to strengthen food abundance and to provide the population with agricultural products, preparations are underway for the harvesting of sugar beets in the velayat.
It was also reported on measures for the proper functioning in the winter season of the heating systems of buildings and facilities of the velayat, in particular, the residential sector, educational and cultural institutions, administrative and public buildings.
At the same time, the Hyakim reported on the progress of the construction of facilities for various purposes planned for commissioning in the velayat that year.
Summarising the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov focused on the importance of the organised and timely implementation of current agricultural work. The Head of Turkmenistan ordered to keep under strict control the sowing of wheat within agrotechnical terms, proper care for crops, harvesting of the grown cotton without loss to the last boll and preparation for the harvesting of sugar beets and gave the Hyakim a number of specific instructions.
In addition, it was instructed to ensure the high quality of construction work at socio-cultural and industrial facilities planned for commissioning in the velayat in accordance with the Programme of the Socioeconomic Development of the Country in 2022–2028.
Then the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atahalliyev, who supervises the agroindustrial complex, reported on the progress of agricultural work in the country.
As he noted, to lay the foundations for the following year’s harvest, wheat sowing continued in the regions of the Motherland. The sown fields are being fed with mineral fertilisers. Along with this, the final stage of the vegetation irrigation of sown areas in the Ahal, Balkan, Lebap and Mary velayats and the pre-sowing irrigation of fields in the Dashoguz velayat are being carried out.
In addition, the necessary measures are being taken to pick raw cotton in a short time and to ensure the round-the-clock operation of collection points and ginneries and timely payments to cotton growers for the harvest delivered.
The Deputy Prime Minister also said rice harvesting had started in the Dashoguz velayat. The Lebap velayat is preparing to begin harvesting rice, and the Mary velayat – sugar beets.
After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov highlighted the importance of the seasonal agricultural work being carried out and instructed the Deputy Prime Minister to keep under strict control the issues of sowing wheat within the established agrotechnical timeframes, caring for the sown areas in accordance with the standards of agricultural technology and picking the cotton harvest as soon as possible and without losses.
At the same time, the Head of Turkmenistan ordered to ensure the timely harvesting of vegetables, melons and other agricultural crops and proper care for sown areas for the following year’s harvest.
Then, addressing the participants of the working meeting, the President of Turkmenistan noted the most important requirement was compliance with the agrotechnical deadlines for agricultural work carried out on those days and instructed them to take a responsible approach to the successful implementation of the tasks set.
Concluding the working meeting via the digital system, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov wished its participants strong health, every success in their work for the prosperity of the sovereign Motherland and the wellbeing of their people.
