Today, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov took part in the commissioning ceremony of a new important facility - the «Bagtyýarlyk» water treatment plant with a capacity of 150 thousand cubic meters of water per day. The construction of the facility was carried out in accordance with the relevant decree of the head of state.

The source of water is an open reservoir with a volume of one million cubic meters, located on the right bank of the Garagum River. The naturally settled water flows by gravity into the front chamber of the first pumping station, where equipment manufactured by the world famous company KSB is installed. It is then sent to a water treatment plant, disinfected and sent to a reservoir for filtration.

As noted, the technology used here meets the criteria outlined in the European Union documents «Best Available Technologies» and «Best Environmental Practices». Water samples collected on site and analyzed in accredited laboratories comply with Turkish, International Organization for Standardization and World Health Organization standards. These facts indicate that this water is safe for the environment and human health. All this is reflected in the corresponding Certificate. 

The commissioning of the modern water treatment plant «Bagtyýarlyk» in Ashgabat in 2010, the motto of which is «The Fount of the Wisdom Magtymguly Fragi», wrote another bright page in the modern history of the Fatherland, becoming another evidence of the success of the progressive state policy of Turkmenistan, consistently implemented under the leadership of the President of the country Serdar Berdimuhamedov and having a pronounced social orientation.
